Event Time and Date

Tuesday, April 18 2017, 5:00 PM to Monday, May 22 2017, 3:15 PM

The annual Student Leaders Interacting and Collaborating (SLIC) Conference is a conference that provides student leaders with training and networking opportunities relevant to their specific roles and activities on campus.   This residential conference at Belwood Lodge & Camp provides time and space to get together, meet other engaged students on campus, and network with administrators and staff you will be working with during the upcoming year.

The cost of the conference is $125, payable by cash, cheque or organizational coding.  This includes your transportation (via bus) from the University of Guelph to and from Belwood Lodge & Camp; your accommodation; all meals and snacks; access to all sessions.

Please make payments in cash or cheque (if not paying by organizational coding) to the Information Desk on the 1st Floor, UC.

*Please note - if you register and are not able to attend you must give a minimum of one week's notice (by Friday May 19th), otherwise, you will be charged part of the registration fee.

You are welcome to begin your form and then come back to it to complete it at any time.  All forms and payment are due May 19th by 4:00 pm.  You must submit your form at the end.

Throughout the weekend you can expect a variety of learning and networking.  There will be concurrent sessions to choose from on topics such as self-care and wellness, conflict, and finding funding on campus; plenary sessions that focus on intercultural maturity, professionalism and working in teams; goal setting and planning time for the year ahead; and amazing group activities!  This is a weekend you do not want to miss!  The full schedule is coming soon so stay tuned!

This event is supported by the SLEF ACCESS FUND. This fund was created for encouraging student participation in co-curricular events by increasing accessibility for students through the provision of financial assistance. Funds are to be used for admission for initiatives by a University of Guelph Student with demonstrated financial need. This fund is available by bringing your student card to the Information Desk located in the University Centre and for all events supported by SLEF/Special Grant/or the Speaker Fund. This fund will help students in financial need up to $50.00 per event.
