Event Time and Date
We are looking for volunteers to help facilitate START International for the Fall 2017 semester. START is a 3-day orientation program for new incoming undergraduate international and exchange students, new PRs, and out-of-country Canadians. During this time, new students socialize, learn about campus, and prepare for O-week. We are working hard to plan the best START International yet, but we will be depending on our volunteers to help us create a fun and welcoming environment for our new students (teamwork makes the dream work!).
This year, the program is Wednesday August 30th, 2017 to Friday September 1st, 2017. We will also be needing volunteers on Tuesday August 29th to help out with our airport pick-up & residence move-in services. By volunteering for START, you will get the opportunity to create lasting friendships with new gryphons from around the world!
Specific volunteer duties will come later, but your role as a volunteer may involve:
- Helping students move into residence
- Welcoming students the airport
- Checking-in students at the welcome desk
- Showing new students around the campus and city
Register before August 1st! You are welcome to volunteer for all 4 days or just a few.

Eligibility: Any Guelph student who has been enrolled at U of G for 1 academic year or more is eligible to volunteer. If you do not meet this requirement, but are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please email Samantha Dharmasena (email@example.com)
